During the COVID-19 pandemic, LAP has seen an increase in mental health issues, substance use, and financial stressors for judges, lawyers, and law students. All services at LAP are free and confidential with immunity under Supreme Court Rule 1.6, allowing more legal professionals to reach out without fear and stigma.

In addition to being re-appointed as Co-Chair to the American Bar Association (ABA) Mental Health and Wellness Task Force for the Section of Litigation, Dr. Diana Uchiyama has been appointed to the ABA Practice Renewal & Reintegration Task Force. Dr. Diana Uchiyama’s competence, experience and commitment to the legal community is essential for our continued success.
ANNOUNCING LAP ANNUAL TRAINING: FUNDAMENTALS & FOUNDATIONS
LAP’s team brings essential skills needed to launch into the future from the legal community’s only experts in legal wellness. The Annual Training event will be virtual June 25, 2021. The program will cover the core foundations of LAP and emerging from COVID-19 isolation, clinical wellbeing education, and LAP services.
